In my experience delivering Mailchimp training to many different organizations I have found that certain browsers work well with Mailchimp however some really aren’t suitable for use with Mailchimp.
I haven’t seen any issues when people use Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera. When using Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer I have seen all sorts of issues from Mailchimp buttons not displaying to the inability to upload images into the Mailchimp file manager.
I always recommend that people use either Chrome, Firefox or Opera when using Mailchimp as these are the best browsers to use for email marketing.
I have consistent trouble with Chrome. Mailchimp loads ok, but after I have been working in it for a while and return to Templates or Reports, all I see is a blank page. This has been happening for months. Each time I kick myself for doing the same thing and expecting different results, then resort to IE.
Sian, I haven’t seen this before. It’s worth clearing your Chrome cache ( https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en ) to see if this helps.
I use Chrome on my PC. I sent a downloadable song link to Mailchimp subscribers. Two firefox recipients report that when they clicked link, it gave them the sign-up option again, not a direct link to the song (as the emailed link was giving me). I uploaded an MP3 to Mailchimp, copied its URL into a new mail, which I sent to the same people and myself. Mine allowed me to download the song. They received the song with no option to download. It seems like the internal programming in Mailchimp is at fault. As I’m on a free account, I’m not offered Mailchimp support… A bad start to my relationship with Mailchimp. Do I need to change to another mailing system before my subscribers grow any further? Sincerely, Neasa
This really doesn’t sound like a Mailchimp issue; if the download doesn’t work in one browser but does in another then this seems like something in Firefox. Mailchimp doesn’t develop separate versions for Chrome versus Firefox; both get the same code from Mailchimp.
Recently, I can not log into Mailchimp.com using a Chrome browser Google Chrome 99.0.4844.82 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: Stable). I can still log in using Firefox 98.0.1 (64-bit). And I could create a new account using Chrome, but I cannot log into that new account from Chrome.
